As we reported a couple of weeks ago, stevedores are using 22 June as their start date for PRA Receival, as a precaution against vessel sailing date roll overs.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) has issued their final version of MO42, declaring that “Marine Order 42 (Carriage, stowage and securing of cargoes and containers) 2016 as will come into effect on 1 July 2016. The official Federal Register of Legislation pages state the Order is ‘In Force’.â€

The ‘MO42 related information’ link in the Marine Order list will lead to a list of related documents and information. The top document is the proposed AMSA approved accuracy standards. This document will be the basis for the actual approved list which will be prepared and published in due course for the commencement of the Order. The accuracy standards in the list will be the approved ones.
