Major re-exports to Australia were: telecommunications and sound recording and reproducing apparatus and equipment; photographic apparatus, equipment and supplies and optical goods; watches and clocks; edible products & preparations; and articles of apparel and clothing accessories. Other goods which are high in value but small in size (admittedly these are not normally being shipped by sea) are pearls and gems as well as gold, silver and platinum.
