We understand that another COVID outbreak has been announced in Ningbo City, Beilun District. With the growing number of confirmed cases & close contacts in this area, Beilun district is now under lockdown until further notice.
Please see the following restrictions which will directly affect the supply chain:
- The suspension of terminals within the Beilun District, which has started from 16th of October until further notice.
- Empty container depots are unable to be accessed due to being located in med-high risk areas therefore shortage on empty containers.
- To enter & exit the terminal, they have limiting routings but have also implemented a new ‘safe-list’ for truck drivers to minimise the risk of transmission.
- Due to many truck drivers residing in, or close to, Beilun District, there is a large shortage of drivers.
- Shipping lines amending their schedules over the next couple weeks, and any alternatives should be shifted to Shanghai.
